Why "web 2.0 needs leadership 2.0"

By Sona Hathi, Assistant Editor, Melcrum Sona Hathi

Dr. Bonnie Cheuk, Global Head of Knowledge and Information and Samantha Bouzan, Global Communications Manager from ERM delivered a presentation on their award winning intranet site at Melcrum's member event in London earlier this month. Members heard about how the team have used SharePoint as a collaboration tool and how they gauged what employees wanted on the site.

Here's a short interview with Bonnie and Samantha from the event, talking about the features of their site that led them to win the Nielsen Norman award, why "web 2.0 needs leadership 2.0" and their top tips for using SharePoint.

I also caught up with Stephen Cox, Communications Director at the Council for World Mission. Members of the organization are based around the world, many work in remote locations and have little access to technology. In the interview below, Stephen explains just how diverse his audience is and what channels work best for communicating with them; keeping them informed with critical information and engaging them.

So far, all of Melcrum's member-exclusive events have been held in London, but we're coming up north to Manchester in April, where you can hear presentations from Bill Quirke and Nina Shabanzadeh, Head of Internal Communications, Home Delivery Network Ltd. Hope to see you there!
