Melcrum podcast October 2008: Shownotes

By Annie Waite, Editor of the Internal Comms Hub (North America), Melcrum
Like many of you, the Melcrum podcast also took a Summer break, but we’re back this week with our October podcast and raring to go, bringing you highlights from our recent and forthcoming events around the world.
First up, Sona Hathi, one of our editors in the UK office, is here with an exclusive interview with Roger D’Aprix, vice president of ROI Communication. Roger gave Sona a sneak preview of his new book, The Credible Company: Communicating with a Skeptical Workforce, and also a quick snapshot of his workshops and keynote at both the UK and US Strategic Communication Management Summits in September and October 2008 (00:25).
Next, I chat with Teresa Sande (8:07), director of internal communications at Micron Technology, and a speaker from Melcrum’s Strategic Communication Summit in Chicago, about her presentation on identifying the "3 Cs" in communication, and the differences between the “big ‘C’” and “little ‘c’” of communication.
Finally, another speaker from the summit in Chicago, Jennifer Graf Smith, (11:43) change management and communications manager at Michelin Americas Small Tires tells me why she thinks there should be a dedicated internal comms professional within each of the core functions of a business. Jennifer also divulges how Michelin’s used humorous storytelling techniques to great effect.
Until next time...
