Hold an impromptu Awards session tomorrow

By Annie Waite, North American Editor of the Internal Comms Hub, MelcrumAnnie Waite

Marie Curie, Margaret Thatcher,  and Dame Anita Roddick are just 3 examples of high achieving women in traditionally male-dominated areas.

As this Saturday, 8th March, marks International Women’s Day, this week on the Hub we're looking into how you can recognise and celebrate both women's achievements and embrace diversity at your organisation.

If you're so inclined, perhaps tomorrow - Fridays generally being a more relaxed working day – using this day as a "hook", you could hold an impromptu 'Awards' at your organization, to take time out to celebrate the achievements and recognise the talents of the varied people that make up your organization? It'll be another way to help (a lot of) your employees feel worthwhile – and as we all know, and as Melcrum's Graeme Ginsberg discusses – a valued, engaged employee is a more productive employee.
