Internal Communication Black Belt Programme debuts down under

By Robin Crumby, Managing Director, Melcrum Robin Crumby

Earlier this month, Melcrum's new Black Belt trainers, Adrian Cropley and Melissa Dark,  completed their first run out in Sydney in full karate outfits, ready for anything. (Cue dubious kung fu puns)

Based on the highly-acclaimed Internal Communication Black Belt Programme run by Liam Fitzpatrick and Sue Dewhurst in the UK at The Cranfield School of Management in sunny Bedfordshire, with an impressive alumni topping almost 250 graduates so far, Adrian and Melissa are already causing quite a stir.

Adrian and Melissa's second dan under (sorry!) will be in Melbourne in February 2008.

To follow their continuing adventures and to read stories from their training course, they are guest bloggers over at the Black Belt Dojo.

So pop on over for tall tales of spiders 'as big as your hand', the ancient secrets of success, and the yin and yang of true internal comms happiness.

But Adrian - remind me, what did you say you give gold stars for?

Robin.

Hi Robin,
Well i am so glad you did not over pun your post... Melissa is out of the running for a 'Gold Star' for sending that particular picture to you.. I will certainly wait for the next big photo op:)

Yes the story of spiders and other creepy bitey creatures have been rampant on the Black Belt Dojo.

Now only good communicators, who do good work will get a 'Gold Star' although i am open to bribery.. Funny how things start for no particular reason.. But i will blame Justine for bringing along gold stars in the first place.

Seriously though, You should be very proud of the first graduates from 'Dan Under' they were great internal communicators, who all seemed to enjoy a great program.. Well done Melcrum! I am sure there will be many tales to follow after the Melbourne Program

Looking forward to the next installment of 'Tales from Black Belt Dan Under'.

The thrills, the spills, the gold star moments.

But spider stories will be strictly censored to protect us lily-livered Northern Hemisphere types!

Robin

Melissa Dark

No spider stories from me!

But definitely gold stars to all the grads from the Black Belt 'dan' under (he he). They were certainly a fantastic bunch and both Adrian and I are very proud of our first alumni.

Now if I can just get them all to conveniently forget the fact that I won the 80s music trivia by knowing a Wa Wa Nee song. (Very damaging to my professional credibility....)

Cheers,
Melissa
