The latest edition of the Melcrum Podcast, which has a particular focus on leadership communication is now ready to download.

Firstly, apologies for putting the Podcast shownotes on this blog a week late, I know how you're all eagerly awaiting them and I promise it won't happen again!

Secondly, at 18 minutes 20 secs, this edition is slightly longer than usual, but the interviewees had such interesting things to say and I just couldn't be as ruthless an editor as usual.

The first item is a collection of tips from experts who attended The Internal Comms Hub's Breakfast Briefing earlier this year, on what makes good leadership communication, and how to effectively get messages through to a dispersed workforce. (Begins at 00:47) Listen out for excellent advice from Helen Love, former head of Internal Comms at Microsoft and Patricia Macready, consultancy team leader at HM Revenue & Customs.

Next is an interview with Terry McKenzie, Senior Director Employee Communications and Change Management at Sun Microsystems about a conference where senior leadership received some "Tough Love" from employees and customers. Terry also describes how to overcome the worst comms situations you could find yourself in, and tells us how blogging has been an invaluable tool for Sun. (Begins at 07:06)

And finally, Melcrum's head of online operations Jasmine Epiro makes her debut on the Melcrum Podcast, she catches up with Matt O'Neill from Cordovan Digital, who organized the first ever gathering of London-based members of Melcrum's Communicators' Network. (Begins at 15:13)
