Managers are feeling inadequate - but cash could help

Apparently plenty of managers are feeling pretty ill-equipped when it comes to leading their company's growth efforts. A survey by The Forum Corp shows a whopping 91% of the 313 business unit leaders from around the world that it questioned say their organizations haven't fully prepared them to manage their growth strategies...

...so, clearly, more training, education and coaching are needed to fill the skills gap. Especially as global mergers and acquisitions seem to be piling up at a rate faster than D-list reality show "celebs".

But do your companies have the budget available for the type of training these managers feel they need, especially the comms elements of it? Is it recognised by your organisations as an area in need of investment or is it still classed as a soft skill? I know that's a fairly standard question these days but in reality, is investment actually forthcoming from the top for comms?
