Five employee blogging guidelines just for you

On the Hub this week we report that more and more employees are being dismissed from their jobs due to inappropriate posts they've left on public forums/websites. This isn't exactly a surprise - research by Melcrum revealed earlier this year that some 70% the 2,000 corporate communicators surveyed said their organization had no specific policy on employees blogging or commenting in other public, online forums.

So, in case any of the Melcrum Blog readers are still in need of a few suggestions for drawing up your organizations' blogging policies, here's a few useful links, courtesy of the Internal Comms Hub:

• Yahoo! guidelines

• IBM guidelines

• Sun Microsystems guidelines

• Plaxo guidelines

• Hill & Knowlton guidelines
