Face to face: Melcrum blog contributors
We've been meaning to for a long time, but today sees the addition of a new page on this blog - that of contributors (on the left nav-bar under "About this blog").
In a conversation a few weeks back that I had with Krishna De, we discussed how the inclusion of information and pictures of the person or people authoring (blogging? writing?) a blog can have a big impact on readership. Readers tend to connect more with what's being written when they have in mind who's actually writing it.
In some cases, adding photos and a little bit of info on the author(s) has increased blog readership by 50 percent. Simple – obvious even – but effective. It's definitely something to bear in mind if you're thinking about your own corporate blog platforms.
At the moment there's just a few of us on the list, although more people than this have indeed contributed and we'll be adding more people as soon as we can.
Alex

Alex - delighted to see your photographs on the site. It is great to see just who is behind the blog posts.
I also thought you might be interested to know that I've started a blogcarnival on the subject of employer branding so I hope the Melcrum bloggers will consider posting some of their great blog posts there - we will be covering employer branding, employee engagement and communications.
You can find the link to post your articles here - and I promise it's quick to do:
