The most engaged employees of all?
For those of you who haven't heard of The Simpsons (I'm really hoping the answer to that is 'none' BTW), the series has just passed a few rather amazing milestones. The first is that it will soon notch up its 400th show, the second is that its now been running for 20 years.
But what's the secret of this incredible success? Well the answer, according an article by CNN "'Simpsons' voices: 'Best job in the world", is that it inspires the love and devotion of all involved in making it.
The article features interviews with "The Simpsons" six main voice actors, Hank Azaria, Nancy Cartwright, Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Harry Shearer and Yeardley Smith, who all talk about how much they love their jobs, even having done the same thing for two decades.
"It really is the best job in the world," confirms Yeardley Smith, the voice of Lisa (the small, clever one). "To be around this long has been truly mind-blowing. And the reason it's been so wonderful is that it's afforded all of us freedom of choice in terms of other work. It's like I fell into the honey pot," she says.
Don't you wish your employees would say things like that?

...they do, don't they?! :-)
