How to give bad news to the boss pt.2

To round off the week, just wanted to post a comment about this week's Source Comms newsletter that was sent in by Christian Ball, a communications manager with the Royal Bank of Scotland.

"Enjoyed Source Comms, but am not sure about warm and fuzzy CEO's. The only warm and fuzzy things I've met in CEO form tend to be bears [as in bear (cautious) markets and bull (enthusiastic) financial markets - ed], and we all know what they do in the woods...

Also, in terms of your points (1, 2, 3), I would suggest a (1, 2, 3, 1) approach.  (Get the advocate to present the bad news for you)"

Good advice, we feel.
