Drink-driving olympic vicar shamed into resignation
....is just one of the attention-grabbing headlines that delegates came up with during David Ferrabee and Phil Turner's presentation at the Social Media Forum yesterday afternoon.
Sandwiched in between talk of
Metallica, the "Rock n roll blogging Top 10" and www.ilovejackdaniels.com, was a writing exercise for delegates, designed to show communicators that descriptive, but clear and concise blog postings are likely to be far more popular than flowery, over-detailed musings.... So, I'll, ahem, stop here. For now.
But does anyone else care to post news or a diary from day two of the forum? I hear Debbie Weil's presentation included a live step-by-step guide to posting videos onto your blog?

I'd be happy to add my two pence worth. I've just come out of a great presentation with Ross Chestney from BT. There's lots of useful information and guidance from seeing how it's been carried out within BT. We have people asking their questions throughout the presentation which is really good because it's becoming somewhat conversational.
Top tips from this presentation were that if the CEO is too busy to blog then don't make them. The simple fact is unless you give it the time it requires any half-hearted efforts just won't do.
Another tip is to read the Cluetrain Manifesto (http://www.cluetrain.com/#manifesto). Apparently this is a must for all communicators!

Annie and I got an exclusive video interview with David and Phil before their presentation. There weren't any signs of nervousness at all, now I know why.... they planned to talk about Rock n Roll! Watch out for the interview soon, either on the Hub, or on this blog... or both!
